Universal Entertainment Corp., the operator of Okada Manila, saw gross gaming revenue (GGR) rise 26% last month to over P3 billion ($58.9 million), driven by strong growth across all gaming segments.
In the first half, GGR jumped 44.7 percent to nearly P17.7 billion. VIP GGR continued to show steady increases, bringing in P264.09 billion in revenues, up 31.3 percent year on year.
The total number of visitors to Okada Manila went up 25.1% to 2.81 million.
In june alone, the tally of visitors jumped 28.7% to 498,203. Revenues from high rollers increased by 10.5% to P1.41 billion.
The mass market segment posted the biggest gain, bringing in revenues of P787 million or an increase of 58% year on year. Revenue from gaming machines grew 26.8% to P813 million.
Other revenues rose to P195 million from P179 million.
