Coca Cola shares falter after Cristiano Ronaldo’s snub

Soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo did the unthinkable and removed two Coca Cola bottles placed before him during the Euro 2020 press conference.

After removing the soda bottles from theview of the cameras, he raised his water bottle and said agua (water).

The obvious snub shocked many people in attendance since Coca Cola was one of the major sponsors of the tournament.

According to Yahoo Finance, by the time the press conference was over, Ronaldo’s move effectively shaved off 1.66 percent from the company’s shares, resulting in $4 billion loss.

The shares dipped further by 0.6 percent the following day.
