BIR extends deadline for filing of ITR in areas under ECQ, MECQ

The BIR said the extension is being given in anticipation of a surge in COVID-19 cases because of the Delta variant.

The deadline will now be 15 days from the day the ECQ/MECQ is lifted.

For tax payments that do not exceed P20,000, taxpayers can pay at the nearest authorized agent bank even if it is outside their revenue district office or to the revenue collection officers of the nearest RDO.

The taxes can also be paid online through Land Bank of the Philippines, Development bank of the Philippines, Union Bank or through GCash and PayMaya.
