Vice President Leni Robredo made a lengthy post on her Facebook account after her office received over P100,000 worth of groceries from Metromart delivered by three riders.
The order was for cash on delivery and was believed to be a prank order.
According to Robredo, while Metromart was accommodating in processing the return of the items, she felt bad for the delivery riders who had to brave the rains to deliver a prank order.
“When I was told about this, nag alala ako sa delivery riders. Sobrang abala sa kanila. Bka akala ng scammers yung burden nasa amin. Hindi iniisip na kinakawawa nila yung riders saka yung mga shoppers nila na nabiktima. Umuulan pa naman kahapon and nabasa sila,” she said.
Robredo appealed to those who take pleasure in pranking others to be more sensitive of the plight of riders, especially during this difficult time.
