Shell sites in Odette-ravaged areas up and running again

Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. said nearly all of its facilities that were hit by typhoon Odette are back in operation.

“From an operational perspective, we are almost 100 percent in terms of sites being operational so if I just look at where we are today, only two sites suffered structural damage, one is in Lapu Lapu City and other one is in Iloilo,” said newly-appointed Pilipinas Shell president Lorelie Quiambao Osial.

Pilipinas Shell said around 200 retail sites of Pilipinas Shell were affected by typhoon Odette, with the biggest impact in Cebu, Bohol, Negros, Southern Leyte, Agusan, Palawan and Panay.

“All our seven terminals are back on normal operations with healthy stock positions as well and I am quite proud how the team has really rallied and is quite agile and flexible that really made it possible to serve essential sectors right away,” Quiambao Osial said.

The oil giant distributed six million liters of fuel supply to various companies and institutions in Cebu and Negros.
