Bilyonaryo scoop confirmed: NTC gives Amcara’s Channel 43 to Pastor Quiboloy who waited 15 years for digital TV frequency

A long-time supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte must feel very blessed after it was awarded by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) a provisional authority to use one of the digital frequencies used by ABS-CBN Broadcasting of the Lopez family.

NTC said Swara Sug had filed its application for a digital TV channel for the Metro Manila and Mega Manila area on 16 October 2007 making it the third on cue for a digital frequency after ultra bilyonaryo Manny Villar’s Advanced Media Broadcasting (Channels 2 and 16) and Aliw Broadcastig of the Cabangon Chua family (Channel 23).

NTC claimed Swara Sug was qualified legally, technically and financially to run a digital TV channel. The award of Channel 43 was backed up by the Department of Information Communication Technology, the Department of Justice and the Office of the Executive Secretary.

Amcara is the owner of Channel 43 which was previously used by ABS-CBN to air its digital channel on TV Plus gadgets until its franchise expired in May 2020.
