A chef and restaurant owner in Cardiff, Wales banned a party of rich customers from his restaurant despite racking up a bill of £1,200 for being unruly and for disrespecting his staff.
In a tweet that has since gone viral, Chef Lee Skeet, who owned the restaurant Cora, narrated his experience with the group that amassed the biggest bill ever in his restaurant.
The party of well-off diners would have been welcome in the establishment but throughout their stay, they were rude and touched a staff member inappropriately.
After learning what transpired, he called out the party to provide their bank details so he could refund them the amount of their bill minus £100 pounds which he believed was the proper tip for the staff member who had to endure their behavior.
“I’m not clout chasing or looking for likes. I just think we should start calling out rich people who think they can treat people like crap,”
The tweet has been liked over 130,000 times and retweeted over 15,000 times. The comments section was also filled with messages of support.
