Farmers get help from netizens in selling their produce

Several farmers from Benguet sold their goods below market value to recoup their transport costs.

According to the admin of Rural Rising Philippines, they chanced upon a truck of a farmer who was trying to unload two tons of freshly harvested radish to recoup the cost of bringing it to the city to find buyers.

Luckily for the farmer, the group organized a system in which the radishes would be sold at a fair price and distributed to buyers for P200 for five kilos.

Another good Samaritan also helped facilitate the sale of carrots from Benguet after they found the farmer selling his carrots for only P10 near BSU Cabanao in La Trinidad. The good news is that because the news traveled fast through Facebook, the carrots were eventually sold out.
