Veteran stock broker Lorenzo Lichauco replaces Harvard-trained abogado Antonio Pacis as Alliace Select Foods chairman

Former Maybank ATR Kim Eng Securities president Lorenzo Sixto Lichauco has been named new chairman of canned tuna exporter Alliance Select Foods International (FOOD).

Lichauco will replace 85-year old Antonio Pacis as part of FOOD’s management shakeup after amassing $16 million in losses over the last three years.

The 65-year old Lichauco has extensive experience in securities brokerage with stints in Philippine Equity Partners Inc., HSBC Securities, (Philippines), Credit Lyonnais Securities (SE Asia) LTD., Crosby-UBP Securities (Phil.), Peregrine Securities Philippines and Merrill Lynch Philippines.

He was also first vice president of Security Bank and senior vice president of the Asset Management Group of the Government Service Insurance System.

He is currently the officer-in-charge of $500 million private equity firm, Seawood Resources.
