Injap Sia inks deal with the Ayalas to build MerryMart supermarkets in Nuvali, Cresendo

Grocery chain operator MerryMart Consumer Corp. of bilyonaryo Edgar “Injap” Sia II has signed a 15-year lease contract with property giant Ayala Inc. to build full-sized eco-friendly supermarkets in Nuvali Sta. Rosa, Laguna and Crescendo Tarlac.

The new stand-alone supermarkets will carry the full line of grocery, pharmacy, personal care and other basic essential products. They will have roof solar panels and LED lighting fixtures as well as bicycle slots and electric car charging stations.

The 2,261 square meter MERRYMART Grocery-NUVALI and 2,076 sqm MERRYMART Grocery- CRESENDO will have ample parking space.

“The MerryMart Group is glad to have the opportunity to soon serve and delight consumers around the vast community developments of Ayala Land in NUVALI in Sta Rosa Laguna and CRESENDO in Tarlac,” said Sia, chairman of MerryMart.

MerryMart recently formed a new subsidiary MM Consumer Technologies Corp with MBOX Smart Lockers as the first in its consumer technology portfolio.

It currently has 105 outlets across the country, largely due to the group’s organic branch expansion and recent acquisitions.

By 2030, MerryMart aims to rake in P120 billion in revenues and boost its network to 1,200 branches nationwide.
